These terms are written in the same plain language as the Navigator itself. Short sentences, no legal jargon where ordinary words will do. That is deliberate, because many of the people reading them are autistic, and terms that cannot be understood are not really agreed to.

These terms apply when you buy access to the Navigator. By completing a purchase you agree to them.
If you are buying on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to agree to these terms for that organisation.
You are buying a licence to use the Navigator. You are not buying the Navigator itself, and ownership of the programme and everything in it stays with us.
One licence is for one person, and it covers both editions: the adult programme and the 11 plus edition written for young people aged eleven and over.
Your licence does not run out. There is no subscription and no renewal.

If you run out of devices, write to us and we will free your licence up. There is no charge for that.

If a licence key is shared widely, we may withdraw access for that key. We will contact you first.
Schools, colleges, local authorities, health services and employers may buy licences for the people they support.
One licence covers one named person. Licences cannot be shared between people, passed on when someone leaves, or made available to a whole setting from one key.
The price is £169 for each copy for the first ten copies. For eleven or more, please contact us for a quote.
Anything the person writes in the Navigator belongs to them. It is not visible to the organisation that bought the licence, and we cannot provide it to you. This is set out further in clause 11.
The price is £169 for one licence. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none is shown on your receipt.
Payment is taken by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Organisations may pay by invoice against a purchase order. Access is provided once payment is received, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If you are buying as a consumer rather than for an organisation, you normally have fourteen days to change your mind about something bought online, and to ask for your money back.
The Navigator is made available to you immediately, as soon as your payment goes through. By agreeing to these terms at the point of purchase, you are asking us to give you access straight away, and you accept that doing so ends your fourteen day right to cancel.
This does not affect your rights if something is faulty or not as described, and it does not stop us considering a refund anyway. See clause 9.
Separately from your legal rights, we will consider a refund if the Navigator is not right for you. Please write to us and tell us what happened, and we will look at it properly rather than pointing you at a policy.
If something we have sold you is faulty or not as described, your legal rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.
Your licence does not expire, and you will receive future updates to the Navigator at no extra cost.
We cannot promise that this website will exist forever. That is why every buyer can download a complete copy of the Navigator to keep. That copy works on its own, offline, without us.
We recommend that you download your copy and keep it somewhere safe. Please note that the downloaded copy holds the programme, not the things you have written in it.
Everything you write inside the Navigator stays on your own device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. There are no accounts, no tracking and no analytics inside the programme.
This means three things you should know. We cannot recover your writing if you lose it. We cannot provide it to anyone who asks for it, including a school, an employer or a health service. And if you clear your browser data or change device, your writing will be gone.
The only personal information we hold is what is needed to sell you a licence: your email address, and a record of your purchase. Payment details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
Our privacy policy sets all of this out in full.
The 11 plus edition is written for young people aged eleven and over. It must be bought by an adult, and the adult who buys it enters into these terms.
The young person using it keeps the same privacy as any other reader. What they write stays on their device, and is not visible to the adult who bought the licence, to their school, or to us.
The Navigator is a self-directed educational programme. It draws on approaches used in cognitive behavioural therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy, adapted for autistic people. It is not therapy, it is not medical treatment, and it is not a diagnosis.
It does not replace support from a doctor, a therapist, a mental health service or any other professional. If you are already working with someone, please keep doing so.
If you are in crisis, or you are worried about your safety, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123. In an emergency, call 999.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
The Navigator, including all of its text, design, illustrations, videos and structure, belongs to The Autism Mentors Ltd and is protected by copyright.
Your licence gives you the right to use it. It does not transfer any ownership to you.
We take care to make sure the Navigator works as described. If it does not, please tell us and we will try to put it right.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses if you are buying for business purposes.
Except for anything set out in clause 13, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
This clause does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
We may improve the Navigator over time. Updates are included in your licence.
We may change these terms for future purchases. The terms that apply to you are the ones you agreed to when you bought your licence, and we will keep a copy available.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
